Passion in Every Step

Hello! My name is Tabor Reice Pegram and I am a dancer, choreographer, and teacher who loves to perform and share the art of dance through teaching and storytelling. I am originally from Thornton, Colorado, but I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in American Dance Pedagogy at Oklahoma City University.

With experience spanning in genres including ballet, jazz, tap, musical theater, ballroom, hip hop, contemporary, modern, and lyrical, I am committed to pushing creative boundaries both on stage and in the studio. As a choreographer, I work to create pieces that tell stories and evoke emotion from audience members. As a teacher, I am dedicated to cultivating an environment for the next generation of artists with encouragement, technique, and heart.

My mission as a dance teacher and performer is to pursue high quality work on stage while simultaneously sharing my passion, knowledge, and dedication that dance has provided me with. I strive to foster technically strong, inquisitive, passionate dancers who value hard work and professionalism.

My Teaching Philosophy

As a dance educator, I believe in fostering a supportive and challenging environment where students can discover their own artistry. My approach combines strong technical foundations with creative expression, encouraging dancers to find their unique voice through movement.

I have had the privilege of teaching and choreographing at Artistic Fusion Dance Academy in Westminster, CO, working with students ages 3-18 across multiple styles including Hip Hop and Tap. I have also served as a Choreographer Assistant for The Star Dance Company at Oklahoma City University.

My studies in American Dance Pedagogy at Oklahoma City University - including courses in Ballet Pedagogy, Tap Pedagogy, and Jazz Pedagogy - have deepened my understanding of how to facilitate successful learning through thoughtful preparation, clear delivery, constructive feedback, and effective classroom management.

Creative Explanation: We want to think of our toes as a paint brush and feel them paint a straight line in front of us and then come back in for more paint.

Cautionary Reminder: Remember our toes should not have any weight on them. It should feel like we are painting with a paint brush on the floor.
